Lil Wayne & Birdman End Legal Battle Over Drake Royalties
In 2017, Aspire Music Group, co-founded by Lil Wayne’s ex-manager, Cortez Bryant, sued Cash Money Records and Universal Music accusing them of not paying out on royalties owed from Drake’s music.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Aspire Music Group (where Lil Wayne is a principal) has dropped their lawsuit against Cash Money Records, Birdman and Universal Music. Per their agreement, Cash Money Records also dropped their claims against Weezy’s company.
Lil Wayne and Birdman have finally put an end to their lengthy court battle as to who gets what when it comes to divvying up Drake’s royalties.
drama between Weezy and Birdman are slowly getting resolved. Wayne did bring Drake to Cash Money – he deserves a sizeable cut of the profits.
